Discover & Develop / Foundation & Technique
Winter Showcase

Saturday, December 2nd, 2023

This is the first performance that your young dancer will experience at BalletCNJ. The Winter Showcase takes place at BalletCNJ's Studio Theater to acclimate our young ones to everything that is involved in a performance. At this showcase, there will be an excerpt performed by each level at BalletCNJ to showcase the growth and progression of our school. Audience members will see repertoire from Act I and Act II of The Nutcracker with works choreographed by our very own faculty members. It is a sneak peek version of our full length Winter Performance which will be performed in the following weeks.

Winter Performance
Saturday, December 9th & Sunday, December 10th 2023

This annual performance takes place at local theaters to give our students the full experience of a professional level performance. Our three act Winter Performance features a re-staging of Frederick Ashton's Les Patineurs, repertoire from the Nutcracker including, Act I: Waltz of the Snowflakes, and the entirety of Act II choreographed by our very own faculty members. These holiday classics are performed annually which gives the students the opportunities to showcase improvement in familiar roles, and experience growth in new casting.
