Meet BalletCNJ's Winter Performance 2019 Claras and Nutcracker Prince!

BalletCNJ is pleased to introduce our 2019 Claras and Nutcracker Prince! They have been hard at work preparing for the stage in order to tell the magical story of a young girl who is transported into the magical world of the Sugarplum Fairy and her Kingdom of the Sweets! Don'y miss their magical performances on Saturday, December 7th at (1 pm and 6 pm) at Villa Victoria Academy Theater in Ewing, NJ

How long have you been dancing?

"3 years"


What role(s) will you be dancing in BalletCNJ's Winter Performance?

"Blue Corps in Les Patineurs, Chinese Dragon, and Clara in the 1 pm Performance of The Nutcracker"


How did you react when you found out you were cast as Clara?

"I was super happy!"


What do you love most about portraying/dancing the role of Clara?

"I like that I get to watch everyone dance and I love the costume!"


What is you favorite Holiday Season tradition?

"Dancing in the Nutcracker!"


Favorite professional ballet dancer?

"Misty Copeland"


Favorite ballet company?

"American Ballet Theatre"


Do you have any hobbies other than ballet?

"Painting and baking"


Any words of advice for other aspiring young dancers?

"Keep trying and don't give up. Learn from your mistakes!"


Which Winter Performance role(s) would you like to dance next?

"Sugarplum Fairy and Russian Candy cane!"


Why should everyone come see BalletCNJ's Winter Performance?

"They will be transported to magical place and everyone's dancing is incredible to watch!"

"Blue Corps in Les Patineurs and Chinese Dragon and Clara in the 6 pm performance of The Nutcracker"


How did you react when you found out you were cast as Clara?

"I cried!"


What do you love most about portraying/dancing the role of Clara?

"The ballet feels so real! I also like being picked up by the Cavalier at the end and the costume is comfy!"


Favorite Holiday Season tradition?

"Decorating our family Christmas tree!"


Favorite professional ballet dancer?

"Misty Copeland"

"The Nutcracker"


Do you have any hobbies other than ballet?

"Horse back riding, violin, and lacrosse"

"Put your whole heart into your dancing!"

"It will make you happy because when the dancers are passionate and enjoying themselves, the audience will feel the same!"

What do you love most about dancing the role of the Nutcracker Prince?

"I like the choreography and I like to feel like royalty and being center stage!"

"Making donations to children with little to no food"


Do you have any hobbies other than ballet?

"Drawing, writing, and sleeping!"


What do you want to be when you grow up?

"An actor or director...or a doctor"

Any words of advice for other young aspiring dancers?

"It's ok to mess up! Don't be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone!"

"There is phenomenal talent, costumes, and the teachers have put their heart and soul into the students. It's better than some shows in the city..."
