Our Mission

Ballet Central New Jersey provides New Jersey and other surrounding areas with ballet training in an atmosphere that declares artistry as top priority. Whether a dancer is on the path to a professional career or just studies the art form for sheer enjoyment, BalletCNJ gives students an inside perspective on ballet and performance, ranging from the "young dancer" to the "pre-professional". BalletCNJ was founded by professional ballet dancers, with the idea that students work alongside professional or former professional dancers to solidify an artistic identity, find personal strength, build confidence and achieve a finely tuned technique.

Presented with fun and challenging classes, students are introduced to a variety of styles. They will be aware of how to work in different ways, decipher musicality and become a versatile instrument for choreographers and their repertoire.

The focus is for dancers to learn about themselves and grow through performance opportunities, while encouraging strong connections with other dancers in a friendly environment. BalletCNJ offers an arrangement of programs that prepares individuals for their personal best and that, in the future, will designate Central New Jersey as a region which produces top tier dancers and unforgettable artists.

Philosophy

of training

BalletCNJ believes in a challenging progression of training that inspires students to reach their true potential and go far beyond. Young Dancer Division students (ages 3-9) are placed according to their age in order to allow for proper physical development through these crucial young years. It introduces them to fundamentals, musicality, coordination and discipline.   Dancer Division students (ages 10 +) are placed according to their skill level and knowledge of dance. After transitioning into Dancer Division, BalletCNJ exposes students to a wide range of classes which compliment and develop their ballet technique and artistry.

Preparatory (ages 8-11), Pre-Professional (ages 12+), Professional (ages 14+) and Daytime (ages 12+) Training Programs offer students the chance to get the attention they need to improve and achieve their goals. These classes have limited spots available to keep class sizes small and to provide an even greater consideration to the individual needs of each student. These programs are designed and recommended for serious students who want to expose themselves to the world of dance and who seek a career as a professional dancer.
